About Me
I’m an Aotearoa New Zealand artist specialising in metalpoint - drawing with a silver wire (or other metal) on prepared paper.
Metalpoint (aka silverpoint) is a traditional drawing technique, but I place myself amongst a growing number of contemporary artists exploring the technical possibilities of the medium alongside the delicate aesthetic of the metal line.
My work is informed by historic and new art materials, traditional and contemporary botanical and landscape drawing, science and speculation.
I hold a Master of Fine Arts, and teach creative workshops at www.amongsparrows.com
